The Obama Craze!!

Its funny how a black man can spark interest and hope into a generation that could care less about anything other than what they wearing to C.O.B. tomorrow. I laugh at my young Bahamian brothers and sisters who are so caught up with the world around them that they forgot that we have our own set of problems to deal with. Our own history to write as the youth of a nation destined for greatness from its conception as a sovereign nation. Chuckle even harder at the amount of young people who just follow because he is black. Like my estranged cousin would say "if you don't know a man call him mister". Don't get me wrong Barack Obama is not the cause for writing. I am proud of my "ethnic group" at this current point in time, but appalled and shocked that young Bahamians would absolutely lose their minds. Tribute to my Grammy

They say time heals wounds but this gash is like no other. Nugh ugh this is way deeper than I could ever imagine. Everyday I think of your smiling face. Though it wasn’t always roses and chocolates in our relationship I still miss the laughs that we sheared and the wars we fought. A whole lot of time dun flew by but it still hurts like you left me yesterday. So what I do? Should I just drown in my misery or do I seek ways of relief? I wish I could revive those days and replace the sparkle in my eye; bringing life to this troublesome and lost soul of mine. I’ll never forget the late nights when I couldn't sleep and you would rub my back an comfort me until I dose off or make me a cup of tea. That and the warmth of her embrace alone was more than security it was more like my personal jail cell. A place I visit only when I wanted to be catered to.
